FABRIC DYEING INSTRUCTIONS – NATURAL BAZAAR

💡 HOW MUCH DYE SHOULD YOU USE? (VERY IMPORTANT)

• 1 pack = approx. 200 g fabric (for even colour)

📌 Example:

• T-shirt (~200 g) → 1 pack
• Light trousers (~400–500 g) → 2–3 packs
• Thick jeans / heavy trousers (~600–800 g) → 3–5 packs

👉 Using too little dye may result in patchy or uneven colour.

👉 We strongly recommend that you weigh your fabric before dyeing and calculate the required number of packs accordingly.

🖐️ HAND DYEING METHOD

1️⃣ Dissolve the dye in hot water (around 60–70 °C) until fully mixed.
2️⃣ Pour the dyed solution into a large container filled with lukewarm water (30–40 °C).
3️⃣ Add 1 tablespoon (≈15 g) of salt and stir well.
4️⃣ Place the pre-wetted fabric into the dye bath and simmer for 30–40 minutes, stirring continuously.
5️⃣ Remove from heat and allow the fabric to cool completely.
6️⃣ Once cooled, rinse thoroughly with cold water until the water runs clear.

Additional Notes:

• 🧴 For wool fabrics: Add 1 teaspoon (≈5 ml) of vinegar when the dye starts to boil.

• ❌ Do NOT add vinegar to red or yellow dyes.

• 🧵 For nylon fabrics: Vinegar is essential — add 1 teaspoon (≈5 ml) during dyeing.

💡 Approximate Ratios by Fabric Weight:

🧺 MACHINE DYEING METHOD

1️⃣ Place 1 pack of Fabric Dye, 1 tablespoon (≈15 g) of salt, and 1 tablespoon (≈15 ml) of white vinegar into the second detergent compartment of your washing machine.
2️⃣ (Optional) Add 1 teaspoon of Fabric Dye Fixer into the softener compartment — this enhances color durability but is not strictly required.
3️⃣ Select Program A (long wash cycle) and run the full cycle.
4️⃣ Once the cycle is complete, remove the dyed fabric gently, without wringing or twisting.

✅ TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

• Use a large container during hand dyeing so the fabric can move freely.

• Always pre-wet the fabric before placing it into the dye bath.

• Test on a small fabric piece before dyeing the entire item to check color results.

• Use a Fabric Dye Fixer for long-lasting, wash-resistant color.

• For wool or nylon fabrics, vinegar improves dye absorption.

• One pack dyes approximately 200 g of fabric evenly.

• Always work on a protected surface (tray, towel, or sink area).

• In case of leakage during delivery, wear gloves and handle carefully.

• Do NOT wipe the packaging with a damp cloth, as this may spread the dye.

• If staining occurs, clean immediately with cold water and mild detergent.

• Store upright in a cool, dry place, away from heat and pressure.
